So far, the OHS Knowledge Bowl team’s season has not exactly been what they expected, placing below the top ten teams. However, even though the team’s season has not started off so great, the students are still having fun. Sophomore Ayan Osman said, “Knowledge Bowl is fun and you get to learn new things, which is why I love being a part of it.”

This year, the Knowledge Bowl team is hoping to work their way up to the top five teams in their region, which include New Ulm, NRHEG, Sleepy Eye, Mankato East and West, Blue Earth, New Prague, Fairmont and other small towns in the south central region of Minnesota. The team’s coach, Mrs. Stacy Nguyen said, “This is the first year our team has been with each other, so if they stick together in the next couple seasons, they should start getting higher scores.”

With their young and eager to learn students, the Knowledge Bowl team looks to grow and prosper this season, hopefully soon gaining enough experience together to take off. The Knowledge Bowl team is currently looking forward to competing Tuesday, Mar. 7 in Mankato.
