The Owatonna Boys Golf team proved that they are on an upward swing. Tuesday, May 12 placing second at the Owatonna Country Club. The boys only fell short to Albert Lea, but edged out Austin and Rochester Mayo. Senior Cole Butler said, “As a whole, the team shot well.” The Huskies want to use this week to focus on their consistency and continue their momentum from Tuesday’s meet. Each golfer has the potential to control the course and shoot well. Senior captain Peter Jones said, “The team has been working hard to improve our consistency.” If the team can lock down their consistency, they will sink a few more wins before section play begins. The boys have a home invite meet Saturday May 16, at the Owatonna Country Club, teeing off at 10 a.m.
