Social media is a big part of students life at the high school. A survey made by OHS Magnet was sent out to students about social media and the impact that it causes. Junior Lilly Trager and Sophomore Andrew Fuller, share their thoughts on the positives and negatives social media has on their lives and others around them. Dean of Students, Doug Wanous also shares his perspective on social media affecting the students of OHS.

Lexie Klecker, Writer
Lexie Klecker is a junior at Owatonna High School. This is her first year on OHS Magnet. Klecker joined Magnet to improve her writing skills and get more involved at OHS. She is involved in Basketball, Track, Choir, DECA, BBBS, SHOC and Link Crew. Outside of school, Klecker enjoys going to the lake, hanging out with her family and friends, shopping and playing basketball. During the summer she nannies and works at The Blast. After high school, Klecker’s future plans include playing college basketball and studying business management. She is excited to write articles and see the behind the scenes of Magnet.
Lauren Kubicek, Writer
Lauren Kubicek is a junior at Owatonna High School. This is her first year on the Magnet staff.
She is involved in many activites at the school inluding the Owatonna Dance Team, DECA,
BBBS and Student Athletic Training. Kubicek joined Magnet to become more involved in the
school and improve her writing and journalism skills. In Kubicek’s free time you can find her
hanging out with her friends, at dance practice or at the lake. During the summer she works at
The Blast. After high school, Kubicek plans on attending a four year university and pursuing a
career in the medical field.
