The OHS Softball Team is coached by Jeremy Moran, Kevin Raney and Rachel Malo. The Huskies regular season is close to the end with Sections right around the corner.

The Huskies have had a very strong and successful year so far, with an overall record of 13-5. Captain Izzy Radel said, “Our season has gone very well and we are currently second in Big 9.” The team is hoping to continue their success throughout the end of their season.

With one game remaining in the regular season, the team is preparing to head into the Section Tournament. Moran said, “We are just continuing to get reps in practice and try to keep our skills sharp. We know that the section tournament will be tough, but we have a very experienced team that knows what to expect as we were in the playoffs.” The Huskies are going to keep working hard at practice to do well in Sections and hopefully make it to the Section Championship.

The Huskies have been playing very well against the harder teams in the Big 9. Radel said, “Going into Sections, our team is looking really good and confident after beating a couple of tough teams in the last couple of weeks.” The Huskies are looking to end their season strong.

The Huskies Section Tournament is coming up quickly with high expectations for the team. Moran said, “We expect to be one of the teams contending for the Section Championship. Our section is very tough this year, but we are hoping to still be one of the top 4 seeds and hopefully host a playoff game in the first round.” The Huskies are going into sections prepared and striving to make a deep run into sections.

The Huskies next game is on Thursday, May 16, at home against Albert Lea starting at 7 p.m.
