This is a romance-thriller that has been compared to the movie “Knives Out.” Main characters Maggie Chase and Ethan Wyatt hate each other but are invited to a holiday party together by infamous author Eleanor Ashley, nicknamed “The Duchess of Death.” After the party, the weather turns, and the next morning Eleanor is gone. “The Christmas Tree Farm” is by Laurie Gilmore, who is also the hit author of “The Pumpkin Spice Cafe.” “The Christmas Tree Farm” is about Kira North, who hates Christmas, but she just bought a Christmas tree farm. Bennet Ellis is the man who has set up her Christmas tree farm. Kira is grumpy and is denying help, but when he comes back a second time she finds herself wondering why she was so mean and adamant on having no help on her farm. This Christmas rom-com is the perfect book to read during December and the Christmas season.
“One Day In December” by Josie Silver is a romance story that has been rated a 3.85/5 on Goodreads. This story is about Laurie who doesn’t believe in “love at first sight” but after meeting Jack one day in December, her mind changes. This has been called an “an unforgettable love story.” This book is also a Reese’s Book Club pick.
“The Dead of Winter” by Sarah Clegg is a Christmas horror novel in which readers can enter the world of monsters, witches and nightmarish traditions that happen around Christmas time. Clegg is an Oxford-trained historian who dives deep into the folkloric roots of Christmas in Europe. This book has been rated at 3.77/5 on Goodreads.
Christmas break is a great time to read some more books. Reading is so atmospheric. Even if there is no snow on the ground, it can still feel like Christmas when reading these books.
