NBA 2K25 hit the shelves on Sept. 6, 2024. Similar to the previous game, it has yet to disappoint. This game is in the NBA 2K franchise and with the new installments it promises to give their audience a more realistic basketball experience. 

One of the biggest standout features of “NBA 2K25” is the enhanced graphics as compared to the other games in the franchise. The player models and animations are more realistic than ever, making the game more visually appealing. The attention to detail even in the small qualities, such as the arenas, helps separate this game from the other games in the franchise. The gameplay mechanics have also seen various improvements with smoother dribbling animations and more responsive controls that all help transport gamers to the court. 

However, this game does not have everything perfect quite yet. The in-game currency “VC” can be very hard to obtain if players are just starting out. While it is possible to have fun without spending money on the game, not having VC prevents the full free experience. Aside from VS, the multiplayer servers have also caused problems because of the visible lag. This setback causes the game’s image to be marked by unsecure server network. 

NBA 2K25 has more to offer than the last couple of games, with the enhanced graphics and mechanics. However, the currency “VC” and occasional server problems make the game a little less enjoyable. If students are fans of the series, it is definitely worth checking out.  However, be prepared for some of the same old frustrations.
