OHS has six seniors that have committed to the next level in their football career. These seniors have played football in high school and have made a huge decision on signing to a college.
Starting off, senior Nolan Ginskey will be attending Winona State University, and he is going to major in criminology. Ginskey is going to continue his athletic career playing Division II football at Winona. The reason he chose Winona is because he loved everything about it there and he also thought it was a great spot to start his career. The connection and culture at Winona pushed Ginskey to his top choice of Winona. He chose to continue his football career because he has always loved playing football and it was a dream of his to play at the highest level for as long as he could.
Blake Fitcher will be attending Gustavus Adolphus College and is going to major in criminal justice and law enforcement. Fitcher is going to continue his athletic career playing Division III football at Gustavus. The reason he chose Gustavus is because of how close the school was to home, and he connected well with the school. He chose to continue his football career because of his love for football and he could not miss out on playing at the next level for football.
Blake Davison will be attending Wartburg University and is going to major in exercise science. Davison is going to continue his athletic career playing Division III football at Wartburg. The reason he chose Wartburg is because of the mix of high quality athletics and high quality academics. He chose to continue his athletic career because of his love for football.
Zach Dahnert will be attending the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse and is going to major in exercise science. Dahnert is going to continue his athletic career playing Division III football at the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse. The reason he chose University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse is because the school is very good academically and has had a very rich history of a winning football program. He also chose to continue his football career because he has always been a football guy, and his dad, uncles and grandpa played football as well.
Luke Webber will be attending University of MN, Duluth and is going to major in business and education. Webber is going to continue his athletic career playing Division II football at UMD. The reason he chose UMD is because of the coaches there, and he said the campus was great too. He also chose to continue his football career because he always loved football since he was little, and it makes him happy.
Jack Meneguzzo will be attending Gustavus Adolphus College and is going to major in business. Meneguzzo is going to continue his athletic career playing Division III football at Gustavus. The reason he chose Gustavus is because he knows a lot of current players, and they only had good things to say about the football program. He also chose to continue his football career because he loves football, and it is something that he has always played and watched ever since he was young.
