Owatonna Lacrosse has four seniors committing this year. Those four are Nolan Soller, Michael Heitkamp, Lauren Busho and Kadence Schumacher. These students have all worked extremely hard to continue their athletic career after high school.
Nolan Soller will be attending William Penn University and is going to major in mechanical engineering. Soller will continue his athletic career playing Division II lacrosse at William Penn University. Soller decided to attend this school because of his connection with the coaches. His teammates made him feel like he belonged there, which is also a big contribution on why he chose to continue his athletic career next year. Soller has always had a passion for lacrosse and everyday he would spend time practicing so that he could improve.
Michael Heitkamp is attending Rockhurst University and is majoring in business administration. Heitkamp is continuing his athletic career playing Division II lacrosse at Rockhurst University. He decided to continue his athletic career because he is very passionate about lacrosse and wanted to be a part of a team and continue playing lacrosse in college. The reason he decided to be a part of the lacrosse team at Rockhurst University is because of the incredible coaching staff and the brotherhood that has been built over the years from the coaches.
Kadence Schumacher is attending Hamline University and is going to major in psychology. Schumacher is continuing her athletic career playing Division III lacrosse at Hamline University. She wanted to continue playing lacrosse in college because it is something that has made a big impact on her life and she is very passionate about it. She chose Hamline University because it is a very positive community, and everyone has each other’s backs.
Lauren Busho is attending the University of Wisconsin, Stout and is going to major in interior design and architecture. Busho is continuing her athletic career playing Division III lacrosse at University of Wisconsin, Stout as she wanted to continue playing lacrosse for longer than her high school career. Busho had always dreamed of becoming a collegiate athlete and the reason she chose the University of Wisconsin, Stout was because they offered her for both hockey and lacrosse.
