The OHS Magnet 2024 to 2025 school year is coming to an end. With the senior class leaving, there are available spots open for students next year who are interested in storytelling, writing, photography and videography.
Magnet is a place where students can express their creative writing skills and get involved in the school community. It brings entertainment and recognition to OHS clubs, sports, students and staff. After taking the journalism course, Magnet allows students to create their own stories about important events, activities and opportunities at OHS. There are six different sections available to write and create for: News, Sports, Student Life and A & E (Arts and Entertainment), Opinion and Multimedia. This class also provides work on social media for those interested in posting pictures, videos and announcements.
If you want to improve your communication skills, meet new people and be the voice of OHS, consider joining Magnet next year. It’s a place to work hard but have a lot of fun. Email your counselor so you don’t miss the chance to join such an enjoyable class.
If you have any questions feel free to stop by room 241 and talk to the Magnet adviser Ms. Polly Shives. #MAGFAM
