The 2025 fantasy season didn’t start with anything crazy. It started with everyone being confused. For example, managers just stared at their draft boards, unsure who was going to be good, who was going to be bad, or which random player was going to ruin or save their whole season in one week.
But as the weeks rolled on, a clear story began to form.
Josh Allen walked into 2025 like he owned it. Every Sunday felt like another chapter in his “I’m still that guy” campaign. Fantasy managers who drafted him watched their teams climb the standings with steady, reliable points. Allen wasn’t flashy every week, he was just good, which is something all fantasy players really want.
At running back, Bijan Robinson reminded everyone why he had been hyped since the day he stepped into the league. This year, everything finally clicked. Whether it was breaking tackles or catching passes out of the backfield, he became a weekly must-start who rarely disappointed.
Junior Ben Sackett says, “Bijan Robinson is a very explosive runner who makes really sharp cuts and gets by defenders easily.”
Jonathan Taylor was a guy who wasn’t a first round pick but quickly showed that he should’ve been, nearly scoring 20 plus points every game he played.
Jaxon Smith Nijigba was also another guy that was a fourth or fifth round pick but became Wide Receiver One in fantasy and was a huge game changer for anyone who drafted him, making their team one of the best in the league.

And then there was George Pickens. Nobody expected him to be this good. But week after week, he pulled down deep passes, dragged defenders, and kept surprising anyone who thought he was just a mid-tier guy. He didn’t just help fantasy teams — he carried them for some weeks.
Junior Brennan Kath says, “James Cook is a guy I drafted in the 6th round but ended up becoming the 6th best fantasy running back and was really dominant for my team.”
Jahmyr Gibbs became one of the most fun players to watch. Whenever he touched the ball, it felt like a big play was coming. This was the year he finally looked like a top-tier back, not just a promising one.
