When it comes to fast food the main debate is Raising Cane’s or Chick-fil-A? Both places are super popular for chicken, but they are actually pretty different in what they offer and how people feel about them.
Raising Cane’s is known for keeping things simple. Their menu mostly has chicken tenders, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and their famous Cane’s sauce. That’s basically it.
Some students really like this because it’s easy and quick and you don’t have to think too hard about what to order. The food is also very consistent, meaning it usually tastes the same every time.
Junior Sudeysi Ismail says ¨ I like Canes because their chicken has more flavor and their sauce is very delicious. Also you get a great amount of food for how much you pay.¨
On the downside, other people say the menu can get boring since there aren’t many options to choose from, or that they don’t like the sauce and that is the only reason why people got there, so if you don’t like it, then you’re out of luck.
Chick-fil-A is kind of the opposite. They have a bigger menu with chicken sandwiches, nuggets, wraps, salads, and even breakfast food. This gives students more choices, especially if they don’t want just chicken tenders. Chick-fil-A is also well known for being very polite and fast with their service, which makes the experience better for a lot of people

Senior Emilio Rosas says ¨I like Chick-fill-A better because the chicken tastes better, you got more options like grilled, fried, chicken sandwich, nugget, salad. They also have way better fries.”
However, one big downside is that Chick-fil-A is always closed on Sundays, which can be frustrating when people are craving it on the weekend.
Another thing students talk about is price. Both places are pretty similar, but opinions are split. Some students think Raising Cane’s gives you more food for your money, while others think Chick-fil-A is worth it because of all the options.
A survey posted on the ohsmagnet Instagram page showed that 114 people voted for Canes (51%) , and 109 people voted for Chick-fil-A (49%).
In the end, it really just depends on what you like more. If you want something simple and fast, Raising Cane’s might be your pick. But if you want more choices and great service, Chick-fil-A could be better. Either way, both are top choices for students looking for a quick meal.
