With the start of the 2026 Owatonna Girls Lacrosse season, this team is ready to go all the way. They continue to dominate this season already.
The team is led by head coach Dani Licht and assistant coaches Grace Piatko, Megan Madsen, Damon Summer, and Eric Marshall.

Within the group, the captains of this team include Senior Addy Schroht, Sophomore Alexis Noble, Senior Brynn Routh, Senior Georgia Schrom, and Senior Ella Marshall.
The Huskies are 8-2 on this season already, with wins against Mankato (twice), Rochester John Marshall (twice), Rochester Mayo (twice), Lakeville North, and Northfield, with losses against Lakeville South and Rochester Century. With playing Rochester Century again later in the season with a chance of winning, this team is chasing yet another section championship, coming from the team they say they’re ready to go all the way.
When the captains were asked what they were most excited about this season. “Winning big nine champs again.” Georgia Schrom states, showing her desire for the team to accomplish common goals.
Outside of playing the sport of lacrosse, building connections with the team is something that this team prides itself on. “I think that the team dynamic this year is very together, and there aren’t as many separate groups, and everyone just seems to get along. I feel like the team dynamic is better than it has been in previous years,” said Alexis Noble.
This girls’ lacrosse team has been mentioned to have good players, but who helped them get to that place? Senior Nora Marshall said, “I like the coaches in Owatonna because they’re all really sweet, and they like to connect and bond with their kids, their team, and they don’t make it feel like we’re individuals, we’re all a family, and they just make everything really fun, and they’re not really harsh on anyone, and they just want us to all get better.” This showcases how the Owatonna girls’ lacrosse coaches have helped the team and

continue to help these girls.
Bringing both the teammates and the game of lacrosse together, the Duluth trip seems to do that. Every other year, the teams head up to Duluth to play 2-3 northern lacrosse teams; they spend 1- 2 nights up there. That time in the hotel room and on the bus gives these girls a chance to get to know each other as teammates, but as friends as well. “My freshman year, I was paired with Attley, Ellery, and Maddie. Two of whom have graduated, and we stayed up to like 2 am just talking. It was so fun!” mentioned Brynn Routh.
