Where we left off

With the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie coming out on Dec. 17, there are a few details about the film viewers need to know. First, the movie will be dropping in almost every movie theater across the United States and will include a handful of recognizable characters, as well as plenty of new characters. Returning to the big screen, from the original trilogy are Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia and Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca. The newly featured actors and actresses are John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and Andy Serkis as the Supreme Leader. This mix of old and new characters will certainly create a unique dynamic to this movie.

The plot is focused around a stormtrooper named Finn. Finn’s journey throughout the film as a stormtrooper leads him on a course that causes him to meet the characters Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. After the characters realize they all share a common enemy, they work together to take down the Sith Lord, Kylo Ren. All other details and concepts of this movie remain a mystery until the film’s showing, but the original trilogy, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, contain important scene setting information, regarding The Force Awakens film. The movie will be playing at the Northwoods Cinema 10 movie theater beginning Thursday, Dec. 17.
