On Thursday Feb. 4, Owatonna Wrestling ventured to Stillwater and won their duel 46-21. Head coach, Cliff Casteel said, “The reasoning behind why we went to Stillwater is because they’re traditionally a pretty good wrestling school and I like the competition for us.” The Huskies have had a very good season with an overall dual record of 15-7 and a conference record of 8-1. The team’s last match was on Feb. 5 vs. Faribault where the huskies won 44-18 with wins from 10 out of the 14 wrestlers. Junior captain, Goy Tut said, “I think that if everyone continues to do their job we definitely have a chance to go to state.” The OHS Wrestling team hosts Rochester Mayo to start off sections, then continue on Saturday for two more section duals, hoping to make it to the finals.

UPDATE: OHS Wrestling lost in the semifinals against Faribault, individual sections start Friday.
