Diving to the top

The Owatonna Boys Swimming and Diving team had a rough start to the season starting 0-7, but has picked up some momentum recently by winning back to back meets against rival Faribault and Big 9 foe Albert Lea. Sophomore Ben Stelter was thrilled about the team grabbing some late momentum stating, “We finally won back to back meets against Faribault and Albert Lea! They were fun meets and it was great to get out there and compete with these teams. These wins were great for our team moral.” The Huskies are one of the youngest teams in the conference, if not the youngest with 11 of their 30 participants being seventh graders. The Huskies may not be a force to be reckoned with this year, but they could very well be one of the top teams in the conference within the next couple years. Their final home meet is Feb. 11 in the OJHS pool at 6 p.m. Come out and support these young pups!
