FFA Heads to Louisville, Kentucky
The Owatonna FFA Chapter has gone to National Convention every year. During Oct. 29 through Nov. 3, eleven FFA members were in Louisville, Kentucky, where the National Convention is held. Advisor, Mrs. Tinaglia, said, “Members from all across the United States meet and build their leadership skills, have formal meetings and elect new leaders.” FFA members are able to participate in many activities over those few days. This year, they participated in sessions where they listened to several speakers. Two of those speakers were Rick Pitino, a current basketball coach, and Josh Sundquist. The weekend also consisted of tours through Agricultural businesses and the winners from State Competitions competed in National Competitions. They were also treated to a Dierks Bentley concert before heading home.
4H and FFA are my two biggest activities. I'm also a Youth Leader at church.
