Student Council
The student council is advised by teachers Lisa Beschnett and Sandra Justice. The students meet every other Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. in the Orchestra Room. Their next meeting is taking place on Nov 8.
The student council is always working diligently as a team to pull off amazing things. Just during this school year, student council has organized many activities for the student body, such as the back to school dance, activities fair, Homecoming 2016 (organized by the Homecoming Committee), pep fests, coronation, the homecoming parade and dance and more. As they move later into the school year, they plan to organize art splash, snow week, heart to heart sales and more dances.
The student council is also involved in service to our great community by organizing events such as the Blood Drive, Cash week and raking leaves for senior citizens to help communities and people in need of assistance. They also do activities such as staff nights, where the students will babysit the children of the staff for free so they can take a night off.
“This group of young people has been amazing to watch,” said Mrs. Beschnett, “They take their responsibilities seriously and continuously follow through on commitments to offer their classmates opportunities to have fun, and more importantly, give to others.”
