Each team was able to survive their respective divisions and playoff brackets to reach the biggest game of them all. With a lot of hype leading up to the game, each team brings their own style of play to the field. The New England Patriots pass oriented offense led behind All-Pro quarterback Tom Brady and mastermind Head Coach Bill Belichick have been able to dominate defenses all season and throughout the playoffs. On the other side of the ball, the Patriots have one if not the best defenses in the league, shutting down opponents to make an easy run through the playoffs and a convincing 36-17 win over the offensively talented Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game.
Across the field, the Atlanta Falcons high powered offense led behind veteran MVP candidate quarterback Matt Ryan and league leading wide receiver Julio Jones has put up astounding numbers against opponents this year. The New England Patriots boast arguably the best quarterback in NFL history and one of the best super bowl winning duos in Brady and Belichick. The future Hall of Famer is having another astoning year, despite being 39 he has been able to turn back time and continue to put out top numbers with 4225 passing yards and 33 touchdowns. The wide receiver corps does not have any stand out player but may be one the deepest corps in the entire league. On the other side of the ball Bill Belichick has put together one of the best defenses in the NFL. With stars such as cornerback Malcolm Butler and linebacker Jamie Collins playing behind one of the best defensive lines in the NFC the defensive squad is likely to make a huge impact on Sunday.
The Falcons boast one of the best offenses in the NFL. Led behind Matt Ryan and Julio Jones with a plethora of playmakers in the wide receiver and running back positions. Julio Jones is atop the league with astonishing numbers this year with 1,656 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Along with a record breaking offense, the defense is also something Atlanta has in their favor. Playmakers such as linebacker Vic Beasley and a dominant defensive line give favor to the Falcons.
