OT thriller
Boys hockey wins!
On Thursday night the Owatonna boys hockey team faced off against their cross town rival opponent, Albert Lea tigers, in a Big Nine conference game. The game remained scoreless until late in the 2nd period when Albert lea started the scoring by popping in a late goal with two minutes and six seconds left in the period. The Huskies then fired right back with a goal by Noah Scheid, his first career varsity goal. The game would remain 1-1 until the end of regulation. Just minutes into the overtime period Owatonna drew a penalty giving them a five on four advantage. Owatonna started their powerplay by throwing everything at the net. Finally the Huskies found the back of the net with a great shot tip combination from Brian Kidd to Jordan Klein giving the Huskies their first win of the season. The team is 1-0-1 on the season. They next face off Tuesday, December 10th as they travel to Shakopee for their second non-conference game.
Hockey is my life, magnet is pretty cool though.
