Playing as a team
Incredible start to the season for the OHS girls hockey team, who has only lost one game this season. On Thursday night, the girls beat the Albert Lea Tigers 4-1. All four of the goals came from different players, Katherine Johnson, Paige Radue, Payton Noble, and Abigail Sawyer. Sawyer and Radue’s goals came from power play opportunities. Johnson, who got the first goal of the game, said, “We communicated well in the beginning and got off to a good start. All around we played as a team and kept up the intensity.” On Dec. 12 the girls take on Mankato West. Johnson said, “I have a good feeling about it, if we start out strong and don’t give them any chances we should come out with the win.” The game is at 7:30 p.m. in Mankato.
