Let the building begin
Last year there was a new club introduced to the OHS, the Robotics club. It had 43
members sign up last year and there are around 37 members this year. Advisor Val
Rose said, “My favorite part is watching students get excited and the learning
that takes place under the guidance of community mentors such as engineers and
programmers.” On Saturday, Jan. 4, the Robotics team went to Rochester, MN to
the FIRST international program. This is where the challenge was released to
all the teams in the nation. Teams are given six weeks to strategize and build
their Robots. The OHS Robotics team meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and
Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The team will be competing in the Duluth
Regions on March 6– 8.
4H and FFA are my two biggest activities. I'm also a Youth Leader at church.
