Ms. Sara Baird
Ms. Sara Baird is one of the many new teachers at OHS this year. After attending Minnesota State University Moorhead to earn a B.A. in Anthropology, she found her passion for teaching after teaching a community education program. Ms.Baird then returned to MSU-Moorhead to earn her B.S. in Social Studies Education. After nine years of teaching in a variety of classrooms, she decided to attend the University of North Dakota to earn M. Ed in instructional design and technology where she is currently enrolled. She decided that the options program was going to be the best fit for her because of the broad spectrum of curriculums to teach. Choosing to continue her teaching career in Owatonna was an easy decision for her. Ms. Baird said, “I really appreciate the community’s support for the school, and the options program is really exciting.”
In her free time, Ms. Baird can be found cooking, sewing, gardening and creating more hobbies. She is excited to give students the opportunity to experience “real life” with the way the options program works.
