Mrs. Drever

Mrs. Drever

The OHS Math department was looking for a new teacher to teach intermediate algebra and algebra two, and Mrs. Liza Drever was the perfect fit. This is her first year teaching in Owatonna, however she has been teaching for 17 years prior to OHS at Faribault High School. She grew up in DeSmet, South Dakota, and after graduating high school, she furthered her education by earning a master’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall.  She is currently taking math classes at Moorhead University to further her own learning.

In her personal life, Mrs. Drever has three kids, and her husband teaches fourth grade at Washington Elementary School. Mrs. Drever said, “I chose Owatonna because I liked the community, and me and my husband knew that we wanted to raise our kids here because of the great school district.” Other than math she loves crafting, running, being with her family and reading. In high school she participated in many extracurriculars including cross country, volleyball, band and choir. Mrs. Drever loves working with all students and her goal is to help her students love math.
