Mr. Pat Churchill
Mr. Pat Churchill is a jack of all trades. Mr. Churchill did not think about teaching until his dad started teaching in Owatonna. Mr. Churchill went to Minnesota West Community and Technical college for two years to earn his generals. After he continued his education at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he graduated with a degree in broad-field social studies. He finally decided to go for his master’s degree at St. Mary’s.
Mr. Churchill taught for 11 years in NRHEG before deciding to switch to Owatonna. In NRHEG he was a football coach, as well as the head basketball and baseball coach. He enjoys many activities in his free time such as hunting, fishing, golfing, reading, spending time with his family and cheering for any Wisconsin sports team. He is excited to start coaching junior varsity and varsity basketball in Owatonna, as well as meeting many new faces while he is at OHS. Churchill said, “I always enjoyed the coaching aspect, but I wasn’t too sure about the teaching aspect. As soon as I started I knew this would be a profession I would love for my whole career.” One can find Mr. Churchill with a smile on his face hanging out in his room, C-309.
