Skits a roaring success
Though Snow Week is usually a highly anticipated event for OHS students, many agree that this year’s skits exceeded expectations by far. The festivities began with a combined skit by Zachary Shaver and Parker Hoen. The two, scantily dressed, danced their way into our hearts. Yes! Next up was Payton Noble with a great snow week skit accepting the crown and a shout out to Isabelle Lehrer. Following Noble was Tyler Vogt, who with the help of Mr. Dean Walters, wrestled his way to victory. What a sport! Next we had a treat from Holly Bloomenrader and Shelby Kern, or should I say Kanye and Kim. The two really struck a chord with the audience as a story about the trials and tribulations of the famous life unfolded before us. In quick transition we watched Brody Dalland dance and tease his way to fame. The poise and grace he showed on that floor eventually earned him a spot on the Chippendales dance squad. Quinn Reinhard stole the stage next with a tasty tale about muffin tops. Unfortunately she (and our ears) met a tragic demise as a seemingly unsinkable ship indeed sank. Then we watched as Ryan Huang had a small crisis over his identity. Luckily, with the help of some friends, music and a bit of sweat, Huang learned to embrace his persona once more. And to close the skits, Kaeli Domino, or rather Pedro, ran for Snow Week Queen. However, due to a small misunderstanding she did not realize she would need to prepare a skit. Fortunately for her, she had some friends to help her out. Be sure to vote for your favorite skit and candidate next Tuesday, and check in on Friday to see who will be crowned your 2014 Snow Week King and Queen!
