A group of students left for the National FFA Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana on Oct. 23. The conference went from Oct. 24 to Oct. 27 with approximately 100,000 students in attendance. At the National FFA Conference, students attended sessions, listened to motivational speakers and attended leadership workshops.

The convention had many activities for the group. The group participated in a Ozark Fisheries tour, and FFA Adviser Mrs. Jamie Gray said, “We got to go into their tanks, touch the fish and see how they processed them.” OHS FFA also went to a career show, where they had hands on activities with John Deere and Lincoln Electric. The career show also had times for students to interact with colleges. Emily Keck said, “I had lots of fun, we went to a concert with Garth Brooks. We also listened to the national officer for FFA and she talked about facing your fears.” It was great on the go learning for students.

If anyone is interested in joining FFA the next meeting is November 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the AG building. Anybody is welcome to join.
