Winter is coming around quickly, which means the season for wrapping up in blankets, munching on snacks and watching movies with friends and family is right around the corner. There is a plethora of new movies being released and below are some of the most sought after movies to watch.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Nov. 16, Rated PG-13

For any Fantastic Beasts or Harry Potter fans, the sequel is a warmly welcomed addition to the collection of movies that compliment the books. The movie follows the events that occur in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and is filled with even more thrills, adventures and magical creatures. With characters like the Magizoologist Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne, Witch Tina Goldstein played by Katherine Waterston and the Non-Magical Jacob Kowalski played by Dan Fogler, the movie is sure to be a hit.  

Robin Hood

Nov. 21, Rated PG-13

The movie brings yet another version of the classic Robin Hood legend to life. It follows the journey of Robin of Loxley, as he is transformed into a thieving bow and arrow wielding Robin Hood. His adventure follows him setting out to bring down a powerful leader who rules over the people with his wealth. This movie is filled with action, romance and the age old fight between good and evil. With Robin Hood being played by portrayed by Taron Egerton, John being played by Jamie Foxx and Marian being played by Eve Hewson, the classic tale is brought to life yet again and is something the audience can look forward to.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse

This animated film tells the story of a young man named Miles Morales, played by Shameik Moore, who discovers that he is not the only one with spider-like powers. Peter Parker, played by Jake Johnson, meets Miles and teaches him everything he knows. But, a wrench is thrown into the introduction when they meet another spider-person. Gwen Stacy, played by Hailee Steinfeld, is from yet another dimension. More spider-people show up, and eventually, all have to work together to save Brooklyn, the city in which Miles lives.

Mary Poppins Returns

Dec. 19, Rated PG-13

Mary Poppins, played by Emily Blunt, is back to visit the Banks family from the last time she was in London. Michael and Jane Banks, played by Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer, are now grown up. Michael has suffered a loss and Mary Poppins helps both him, his sister and his children through this difficult time. In her return, Mary Poppins is working to restore joy to into the Banks families lives. The movie is going to be a wonderful addition to the classic Mary Poppins story of magic, joy, family and a lesson learned.
