The OHS Girls Basketball team has had a nail-biting season so far. The season has been challenging, but the girls have had a lot of fun so far with it. Their overall record is 4-10, but they are continuing to push themselves to new limits.

The girls continue to work on skills to improve. Senior Captain Mckenna Schroht says, “We’ve been stepping it up in practices by doing a lot of defense and rebounding drills because that’s what we struggle with the most.” The Huskies last took on Rochester JM losing 66-40 which has only motivated them to push harder.

I’m excited to see how the girls continue to improve and work together. We’re really starting to click and see some really good things. I’m excited to see it pay off.

The team has been working together to strategize their next game plan. Coach Lindsey Hugstad-Vaa said, “I’m excited to see how the girls continue to improve and work together. We’re really starting to click and see some really good things. I’m excited to see it pay off.” The Owatonna Girls Basketball team has been stepping it up in their practices, getting ready to take on Mankato West. Mankato West has a standing record of 8-2 in the Big 9 Conference, and teamwork and communication are what is going to really help the Huskies be successful. The next game is Friday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. at Mankato West.
