The madness ends in Minneapolis

The 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN, on April 6, 2019. The number one seeded, Virginia Cavaliers, will be facing the number five seeded, Auburn Tigers. This is Virginia’s third final four appearances in team history; meanwhile, this will be Auburn’s first final four appearances in team history. Auburn’s run to the Final Four is one of the biggest surprises in the tournament. The Tigers finished the regular season with a 22-9 record, making a run in the SEC tournament, winning it all. The Tigers have been red hot all of March, and there was no surprise that the Virginia Cavaliers punched a ticket into the Final Four. The Cavaliers have been one of the best teams all year, and they are ready to win it all after last years defeat in the opening round, to the number 16 seed UMBC. Virginia v.s. Auburn will tip off at 5:09 p.m.

Following the Virginia-Auburn game, number two seeded Michigan State Spartans, will play number three seeded, Texas Tech Red Raiders. Michigan State will be appearing in their tenth Final Four appearance in school history; meanwhile, Texas Tech, will be appearing in their first Final Four in school history. Michigan State is coming off a big victory after beating top-seeded Duke in the Final seconds, helping them advance into the final four. The Spartans are led by the Big 10 player of the year Cassius Winston. Winston Averages 18.9 PPG and 7.6 APG.

The Red Raiders Guard Jarrett Culver averaged 18.9 PPG this season. The matchup between the two team’s top players should be a good one to watch. Culver is a potential top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Senior Adnan Abdullahi said, “March Madness has been very fun to watch this year. I would’ve never of thought while making my bracket, Auburn would make it all the way to the Final Four”.  The two teams who win will advance to the championship game on April 8, 2019 at US Bank Stadium.
