New Teacher Mrs. Holm

Mrs. Holm

Mrs. Lori Holm is joining the Owatonna High School staff this year. Mrs. Holm became a teacher because of her love for seeing kids succeed, grow and develop through school, as well as her passion for reading and teaching others how to read. Mrs. Holm went to the University of North Dakota, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She continued her education at Minnesota State University, Mankato where she graduated with a master’s degree in special education and reading.

Mrs. Holm taught for five years in Owatonna prior to teaching at the ALC and Northfield High School for a couple of years. She moved to  Washington Elementary School, where she taught for eight years. A couple of changes happened within the special education system and she really enjoyed her time at the here, leading her to OHS. Along with teaching, she also tutors students from kindergarten to high school along with college students, helping them with reading and comprehension. In Mrs. Holm’s free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her two kids and finding new places to hike.  Mrs. Holm said, “Every child, every day, whatever it takes.” She wants to help write the next chapter for every kid and hear their stories.
