New venue for fourth trip to state

As the Owatonna Football team prepare for their fourth state appearance in four years, there are some things the fans will need to know. This year the state quarterfinal game will be held at the Woodbury High School on Saturday, November 9, 2019. The gates to the stadium will be opening at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning. The game will begin roughly around noon. There are a few major things for everyone who is going to support the Huskies should know. 

First off, for easiest entrance and exiting for huskie fans parking in the East parking lot, the Ojibway lot. There will be no fan bus headed to this weekend’s games. The Huskies fans will be sitting on the visitor’s side, or the East side of the stands. When entering the stadium backpacks and drawstring bags will not be allowed in the stadium. Other food and drinks are also not allowed into the stadium when entering. For parents bringing families and other children, anyone’s eighth grade or lower will need to be accompanied by an adult or guardian when entering. Saturday is supposed to be chilly, around 35 degrees around game time. Dress warm and enjoy the game.

Ticket prices will be $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for students. Advance ticket buying will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and then again from 2:40-3:15 p.m. at the Owatonna High School outside the auditorium. Also, the tickets can be found on Wednesday and Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 3:30 – 5:15 p.m. Fans can also go onto the Activities Director twitter and find a link to the tickets there. Fans that plan on leaving and re-entering will have to pay to get back in.
