P.S To All the Boys series on Netflix is a must watch
February 28, 2020
Netflix just came out with the movie sequel to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The movies are based on the book series of the same name written by Jenny Han. The sequel has been long anticipated by teen drama movie lovers and readers. The release date was Feb. 12, 2020, and the movie is called To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.
The movie has many familiar faces including actors Lana Condor, Noah Centineo and Jordan Fisher. Lana Candor plays the protagonist Lara Jean in the movie and is also known for being in the Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse. Noah Centineo, who plays Peter, is known for being the heartthrob in many movies including: The Perfect Date, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, Swiped and Charlie’s Angels. Jordan Fisher just joined the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series cast. He plays the new love interest John Ambrose. Fisher is a singer, dancer and actor who has been in many movies and on broadway. It is a very talented and young cast.
The sequel starts where it left off in the first movie. Main characters Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky are going on their first real date after they realized their “fake” relationship turned into real feelings. Everything seems perfect until one of her old friends John Ambrose McClaren writes back to an accidentally sent love letter she wrote when she was younger. She decides to not write back, but finds out that John Ambrose is volunteering at the same retirement home as her. They catch up on all the time they have missed and start enjoying their time together. Meanwhile, Lara Jean caught Peter in multiple lies. This movie shows Lara Jean’s journey to deciding what boy is meant for her. Throughout the movie, Lara Jean makes friends with an older woman in the retirement home. She gives her advice and encourages Lara Jean to do what feels right. The overwhelming question: Peter or John?
The movie- without giving too much away- ends with Lara Jean making a decision. With the support from her sister Kitty and father Dan Covey she confidently makes her choice. This movie is a perfect watch for the romantic in everyone.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You has received 73% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4.1 out of five stars on Google audience rating. The movie runs for one hour and 42 minutes.
