Every day when Mr. Adam Woitalla showers, he makes sure his facial hair is clean and then he combs it. He likes to trim it up every three or four weeks. Sophomore Eli Spurgeon decides to keep his beard untended and just let it grow out. He likes to trim it once a month to keep it tidy. Spurgeon’s beard inspiration is Liam Dublin. Spurgeon said, “I don't like shaving because it’s easier to grow it out than try and keep it clean.”

Senior Hunter Jensen trims his facial hair with an electric razor every morning. Jensen said, “Sometimes I feel like shaving it all off but it's just too much work.” Jensen would rather just let it grow out. He also uses beard balm to make it look nice every morning.

Mr. Brody Riles usually trims up his facial hair once a week on Sunday nights before work on Monday. Mr. Riles hasn’t shaved since June 19, 2012, the day his daughter was born. He considers his facial hair unique because of the way he prepares it in the morning. He uses beard balm and a beard straightener every morning. Senior Jason Spatenka likes to grow out his beard and two times a month he shaves all of it off, but he’s recently decided to trim it instead. Spatenka said, “I used to like shaving it, but now I just feel like I have a baby face without it.” Spatenka prides himself on his facial hair because not many people his age can grow full beard.

Mr. Will Fish shaves all of his facial hair off yearly. Fish said, “I consider it spring cleaning.” He also uses his goatee as a food storage system. He doesn’t use any hair products in his facial hair, but every now and then there’s some chicken soup in there. 

Senior Liam Dublin tends his beard once a day and trims it every three weeks. He once shaved off all of his facial hair, though. Dublin said, “That was brutal. Never again will I do that.” What makes Dublin’s beard unique is that it is multicolored and he has counted four different shades within it.
