Harry Edward Styles is a British singer and actor whose career started on X Factor. Styles has been in the music industry for a decade, and he has shown a lot of growth throughout his entire music career. Styles’ growth took him from former boy band member to one of the biggest pop-rock stars of the decade. Styles has recently released his latest album Fine Line. The album deals with his recent breakup, and his exploration of psychedelics. This is Styles’ second album, and it has shown how much he has grown as an artist.

Harry Styles was born in Redditch, Worchestire, England on February 1, 1994. At the age of 16, he joined the seventh season of the X Factor along with four other boys. After losing the competition, the five boys decided to continue making music together. X Factor judge, Simon Cowell, decided to help the boys out by signing them to Syco. The boys decided to call themselves One Direction. The boy band ended up becoming the biggest boy band in history. After many years of success, Zayn Malik left the band. Solo careers started to become a trend after Malik left. Starting a solo career ended up resulting in a lot of success for Harry Styles

After the boy band One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus, Harry Styles embarked on his solo career. In 2017, Styles released his first solo EP SIgn of the Times, which ended up peaking at number four on the Billboard charts. Soon after, Styles released an album, Harry Styles, which received amazing reviews. The album shocked the world with his new sound. Styles has told different news articles that he has many inspirations for his music such as Queen, Elton John and the Beatles. With his new music, Styles wanted to showcase his new rock sound, which was a huge shock to his more pop-based audience. Styles earlier fame also landed him a spot in the Oscar-winning film Dunkirk, as soldier Christopher Nolan.

In December of 2019, Styles released his recent album, Fine Line. Fine Line showed to be vastly different from his other album but was more true to himself. The album was preceded by three singles, Lights Up, Watermelon Sugar and Adore You. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Styles said, “When I listen to the first album now, I can hear all of the places where I feel like I was playing it safe because I just didn’t want to get it wrong, but I guess a big part of going into this album was I spent a lot of time thinking about the whole process of, you make an album, and then you put it out… and then you tour it. I kind of went into the second one feeling like I want to work out how to make all of this feel really fun.”

With Styles’ upcoming tour coming up, fans are getting really excited. Senior Shannon Smith said, “I am really excited to see what he does with his future career. I’m going to his concert in June, and I have been listening to Fine Line on repeat to prepare. I can’t wait.” Styles’ the United States and Canada tour has Jenny Lewis opening for him, and King Princess opening for Europe and Mexico.

Harry Styles solo career is still in the early stages, and it is already blown up. Junior Mariah Bailey said, “It’s been really cool watching Harry Styles grow as an artist since X Factor. His style has evolved so much, and his new album is something we have never heard before. I am really looking forward to seeing his tour. He always makes his concerts really special.” Styles has created a very special fanbase with his music, and it is only getting larger. His journey from being a contestant on X Factor to becoming one of the biggest musicians has proved how great and long-lasting he is as a musician.
