Speech is a club for everyone. Many people think speech is just talking in front of a judge. But, it is actually preforming a script. There are many different categories, 13 to be exact. They range from different topics, whether it is talking about a problem in the world today, or reading and preforming out of a book. The speech team had a meet this past Saturday at Farmington. Leader of the speech team, Lauren Gendron said, “A lot of our new people placed really well at the last meet.” There have been a number of new people that joined this year. They started practice in December and their meets started in February. Big 9 conference starts Monday, March 17^th. Gendron said, “The season so far is going really well.” They will be heading to Red Wing this Saturday to compete.
