Mark Lysne
New to the office
Mr.Mark Lynse is new to the OHS staff this year. Mr. Lynse grew up in Owatonna and attended OHS while growing up and played on the OHS baseball team and basketball team. He then furthered his sports career and education at St. Olaf College. After college, Mr. Lynse worked 23 years at the district office and was very involved with kids and their education. When asked about why he chose to work in the school district Mr. Lynse said,“Because of the students, I think helping students is important and I think education is important.”
Mr. Lynse transferred to OHS this year after previous receptionist Barb Bergwall retired. Mr. Lynse does a combination of two jobs: a receptionist and an administrative assistant. His favorite part about working at OHS is getting the opportunity to work with kids face to face because of the impact on kids and their education.
Mr. Lynse enjoys playing golf and doing anything to stay in shape like running and playing in a softball league. Lynse also enjoys going to OHS sports like basketball and football games. He is very excited to start working at OHS and getting to meet new faces this school year. Mr. Lysne is at the office front desk.
