The OHS girls basketball team went undefeated in the Big Nine conference with a record of 17-0. Last Friday, February 28, the team won by a score of 66-61 against the Albert Lea tigers. Head coach Tricia Hoffman has been coaching for the past ten years, but has only been the head coach of the Huskies for the last two years.  Hoffman said, “My favorite part of coaching is building relationships with the players, to get the most potential out of them and to get them to realize their potential.” Hoffman’s favorite memory was the trip to Duluth at the beginning of their season. Hoffman has enjoyed watching the team come together, and build team chemistry.

Their next game will be on Wednesday, March. 5, against Century at the OHS at 7 p.m.  They have beat Century twice this season. Hoffmann said,”If they play how they have been, they are capable of doing just fine”. The game against Century is the first round of sections and a large crowd is expected. The Huskies are the number two seed and hope to make the state tournament. Their overall record is 23-2.
