Cael’s favorite shows to watch on Netflix right now.

It is always hard to find a new show or movie to watch on Netflix. With all of the options, it is hard to pick one to watch. Here are some good shows and movies to get into.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (Animation, Fantasy)

The world is at war with one common enemy, the fire nation. Each tribe has benders and non-benders. These benders control their tribe’s elements. Only the Avatar who is born once per generation can control all four elements. This Avatar, who’s an Air nomad, has been lost until two water tribe citizens find him in an iceberg. These water tribe citizens must help him learn the other three elements and defeat the Firelord to bring balance to the world.

The Ranch (Comedy, Drama)

When Colt (Ashton Kutcher), returns home to his family ranch in hopes of ranching again with his brother and dad who haven’t seen him in 15 years, Colt needs to prove to his father that he’s serious about his life now. He doesn’t make it easy on himself by messing around and always partying.

Stranger Things (Sci-Fi, Thriller)

Although this show has been out for a while, it’s still a great show to binge-watch again with friends. It starts with a kid named Will who gets kidnapped, then a sequence of weird events occur in his town. Specifically within the electrical company building.

Netflix comes out with new releases every month and this month there are some real appealing titles. Since Christmas is next month, Netflix is starting to release more holiday movies, two of which are Netflix originals. The first one is called Dash and Lily and the second one is Operation Christmas Drop. Both of these are movies that just recently came out.

If you like more serious documentaries then a highly suggested one is Trial 4. It is an eight-part documentary that came out only a few days ago about a man who has been in jail a lot of his life and now is having his final court hearing. OHS sophomore Kaeden Mullenbach said, “ I haven’t finished Trial 4 yet but so far it’s a good choice if you like documentaries.” There are still more shows and movies coming out on Netflix every week, so make sure to keep an eye on what comes out and see if it’s a good watch.
