Christmas is near and the Magnet staff wanted to give the students some of the most popular and fun games to play during the holidays even with this COVID-19 filled year. Games such as the white elephant gift exchange and cornhole are great options.

The white elephant gift exchange game is a great game to play with the whole family because everyone can play. The game is played by buying a gift for roughly under twenty dollars and everyone playing rolls the dice until all the gifts are given to different people. Then someone can either steal someone else’s or keep theirs depending on what number they roll on the dice. Senior Alex Stenzel said, “I think it’s a fun game that brings people together in many ways.” The white elephant game is definitely one of the best games to play with a big family.

Another game the family could play is a game called Pictionary. Pictionary is a great game to play with your whole family that gets everyone in a competitive spirit. Pictionary is a simple game to play, all you need is a pen, paper, and the board game Pictionary that provides you with a game board, dice, timer, and cards to play the game. The aim of the game is to guess the picture one person is drawing that they drew from the cards. If you guess the picture right you get to move forward on the game board. Whoever reaches the end first wins. Junior Lexi Nelson says, “Pictionary is a great game that me and my family play during Christmas every year and it always gets super competitive which is always fun.” Pictionary can bring the family together in so many ways.

These games are just a couple of the many games that the family is able to play during the Christmas holidays.
