On the purpose behind this year’s  theme, Student Council Adviser Ms. Sandra Justice said, “Having those types of new activities and trying to bring that energy back.“ Sand volleyball is the first event to kick off this game-themed week, where students can form a team of ten players and two coaches will play at Lava Burger from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Tuesday there will be a movie night on the OHS practice fields. The students will be watching the movie Hocus Pocus from 8:00-10:00 p.m. On Wednesday, students that are involved in an extracurricular activity will be doing float building for the parade at the Radel Pavilion from 2:00-6:30pm. On Thursday, students who signed up as a team will play Family Feud in the OHS auditorium from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Admission is $5.

To end this fun and eventful homecoming week, on Friday, Oct. 8, Owatonna will be holding the parade at 1:30 p.m. on a new route. After the parade, the OHS Football Team will face off against Rochester John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. At the game, the 2021 Homecoming Royalty and the Owatonna Dance Team will be performing during halftime.
