Many people on Valentine’s Day love to binge watch the best romance movies to get into the holiday spirit. These are the top rated movies that students at OHS have recommended. These movies are perfect for people who want to get into the holiday spirit.

The best options for a family movie night on Valentine’s Day are Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. The movie Aladdin is about Princess Jasmine, the beautiful daughter of the Sultan of Agrabah. Aladdin stumbled upon a genie lamp, which led to the beginning of his love story with Jasmine. Junior Sevy Enter said, ”There is a homeless guy that falls in love with her even though he’s way lower in social class.” The next excellent family movie is Beauty and the Beast. This classic love story is about a young prince that gets put under a spell and he struggles with his new normal. Belle is a village girl who soon falls in love with the beast. The film finishes with a happy ending as they both get the love they deserve in the end. If people are looking for some classic romance movies to watch with the whole family, these are two great options to consider.

Many students in high school are in relationships. Some of the best movies to watch with significant others on Valentine’s Day are Valentine’s Day and The Fault in Our Stars. Valentine’s Day follows the story of many different couples and the journeys they go through. The other best movie to watch is The Fault in Our Stars. It  is a movie about Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16 year old cancer patient who ends up falling in love with Gus Waters. The watchers are brought through their journey of friendship and soon love. Junior Ezra Oien said, ”The movie and actors really pull you into the story and make you feel like you are in the movie. The drama is super good and I love the story line.” All of the films mentioned here are guaranteed to fill someone’s heart with love this Valentine’s Day.

These are movies that are highly recommended to sit down and watch on Monday, Feb. 14 to get into the holiday spirit. All of these movies are very warm, loving and it will make the holiday very enjoyable and will bring out the spirit.
