Owatonna Track and Field values hard working and dedicated athletes like Max Zirngible. Zirngible started doing track and field in seventh grade and has committed to the University of Dubuque to continue not only his education, but his track and field career.

Zirngible is described as dedicated and an extremely hard worker. Boys Track and Field coach Mr. Kevin Stelter said, ”He’ll often come up and get starting blocks from me and work on starts over the summer when nobody else is around. He also comes up on the track and will run through workouts and drills.” Zirngible’s dedication to never stop working has made him an outstanding athlete as he sticks out to his coaches. Awards he has received are most improved runner and 2022 senior captain.

Max Zirngible taking off for the relay track event last season.

He is excited for his senior year and to give it all one last time before leaving for college. He said, “I’m excited for this season and hopefully a chance at win Big 9 and sections.” Zirngible is driven to have his best season yet. His determination will bring him far in his career along with hitting his goals. Zirngible competes in the 100m, long jump and some relays.

Zirngible is planning on majoring in sports science. His family, friends and coaches cannot wait to see his accomplishments as he moves forward in life.
