The end of a great season

The girls basketball team played hard against Lakeville North, losing 71 – 57 on Friday, March. 14, at the Mayo Civic Center to end their season. The team fell behind in the first half, but came back strong in the second half to bring it within nine. The team and fans never gave up the  game.

The season went very well for them winning the Big Nine Conference and had an outstanding record, with trips to Duluth and to the sections final. The girls came together and became a team that was a force to be reckoned with. Coach Hoffman was award  the Big 9 Coach of the Year. Kyndal Cox, Katlin Ptacek, and Rachel Williamson all won all conference and Angela Farrier, and Anna Edel both won honorable mention. Coach Hoffman said, “We had a tremendous season ending up 25 – 3 for our overall record and made memories that will last a lifetime.”  With the loss in the section finals, it brought an end to a great season.
