Time to step up to the plate
The softball season has started, but unfortunately it has been a slow start. The girls have been practicing for a little less than a month now, as they prepare themselves for the season. Their first scheduled game on April 8 had to be postponed due to field conditions. However, their game on April 10 against Albert Lea was still a go. The girls lost 2-8, but that will not stop the team’s perseverance to do their best again next game, which will be an away game on April 15 against Rochester Century. Varsity Coach Brian Pilcher said, “I’ve been looking forward to the season now for months. I’m excited for the chance to pass my knowledge of softball and wow the players.” The girls are excited for a good season ahead. Sophomore Kristian Pumper said, “I’m looking forward to getting to know the girls better, working as a team, have fun and play ball.” Go and enjoy this beautiful weather and cheer on our girls’ softball team.
