Junior Achivement’s Big Bowl event will be held Friday, Feb. 17 from 3 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at SpareTime Entertainment. The Junior Achievement Big Bowl is an event that gathers the community to help support the community.

Junior Achievement is a program that prepares young people with skills that can help build the community through experiential learning focused on financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship.

Business teacher Mr. Bradley Scharber said, “Junior Achievement is a great resource for schools, for me for example I had someone come in for my small business entrepreneurship class. I don’t have a ton of experience in that area so it allows someone that is in that world that runs a small business to give their expertise to the students.”

The bowling event is a great opportunity for the community to come together while having some fun and supporting kids and their life skills. Activities like bowling and trivia as well as the chance to win some prizes make it a fun, unforgettable experience.

Ms. Alexis Seiffert said, “We have community experts coming into the schools to teach students K-12.”

Students get a chance to learn from actual experts in the field, it is not the same teacher they see every day, which makes it easier to connect and learn.

Sparetime entertainment can expect yet another big turn out for this year’s event as community sponsors are promoting the event.

Ms. Seiffert said, “The last few years the bowling alley has been packed.”

Over $5,000 have been donated so far.

The event will be held this Friday, Feb. 17 from 3-7:30 p.m. at SpareTime Entertainment.
