“The gold” Most of the Season 1 plot revolves around a treasure hunt for a massive amount of gold $400 million, to be exact thought to be on-board the Royal Merchant, a ship that wrecked off the OBX coast hundreds of years ago.

The third season can only be described as wild, it ends with an extra long finale packed with drama. The search for John B’s father Big John finally comes to an end, as does the Pogues’ hunt for El Dorado, the Venezuelan city of gold.

Along the way, the Pogues encounter new challenges and villains, all while figuring out their own personal relationships and struggles as they search for the legendary city of El Dorado. The season delivers the same intense action, suspense and romance that had everyone falling in love with the first two seasons.

The series was renewed for a fourth season by Netflix on Feb. 23,  when Season 3 was to premiere Kess said, “I think it’ll be good because of the ending of the last season I think it’ll be very different then the rest of them.” Netflix’s viewers are very excited to see what will happen to the Pogues in the fourth season.
