The Owatonna Girls Lacrosse team has started off their season on a hot streak. The Huskies have played two games so far this season starting out 2-1. The girls are hoping to keep the bar high and keep the streak going as they get deeper into the season. The Huskies are gearing up to face Mankato.

Captains this year include seniors Ava Eitrheim, Anni Moran, Ella Hayes and junior Madi McGinn. The team and coaches have set high goals for this season.

Each girl has their own role and they all make a positive impact on the team. Senior captain Ella Hayes said, We are trying to build a strong team and build a family together and push to be the best.

Hayes goal is to really push her teammates in a very positive way on and off the field. Hayes has a crucial role in keeping team chemistry high throughout the season.

This season the Huskies really want to keep the team chemistry up and keep the good winning streak going. The Huskies will be preparing to face Century deeper into the season. Century is one of their biggest competitions of the year.

The Huskies will push to keep growing as a team and as a family as the season gets kicked off. As the season continues they will be continuing to raise the bar higher, hoping to make a deep postseason run.

The Huskies play Rochester Century at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, May. 1 at Rochester Century.
