Delayed relays
The boys track and field season has been going well if you do not include the poor weather conditions and meet delays. The boys have been practicing every day after school from 3:30 to about 5 or 6 pm in order to prepare themselves for meets to come. Track coach Kevin Stelter said, “My main focus right now is to win Big 9, win the team section meet and get half a dozen boys to the state track meet.” Considering they have won all their Big 9 conference meets so far this year, it is a reseasonable goal. Their home meet on April 29 was unfortunately cancelled due to rain and cold. However, their invite to Rochester Mayo on May 3 is still scheduled to go as planned. Senior Aaron Peterson said, “I’m not too worried about the invite on Saturday. They have a pretty good team but that’s what makes a good competition; it should be fun.” The boys have had an amazing season so far and are hoping to end it on an even higher note.
