Gearing up for state
Members of the Robotics Team surround the robot they spent six weeks building
This weekend, the Owatonna Robotics Team heads to the state robotics competition. They expect to finish among the middle of the pack in team standings and expect to place in the 2nd or 3rd alliance. The team has changed very little about the physical aspects of the robot since the regional competition. Driver of the robot, junior Owen Davis, said, “I will try to drive it more aggressively.” Junior Ethan Schulz, the electrical team lead, said, “We optimized the code that runs the robot.” The competition will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Williams Arena Sports Pavilion on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. The opening ceremonies will start at 8:30 am.
The Owatonna robotics team placed 25th at the state competition this weekend.
