Tough loss to end the season
Having a season end is always a tough time. It makes it a little better knowing it was one of the best seasons in school history. The Owatonna girl’s lacrosse team fell 16-6 against the Farmington Tigers on Friday in the second round of sections. Finishing the season with a record of 11-4 and two state ranked players. Next year is promising for the team since they only lose six players to graduation. Mid fielders Payton Noble, Paige Radue, Toni Nelson, and attackers Abby Sawyer, Brittany Palloch and Jordyn Williams will all be graduating. Head Coach Bill Benard said, “We had a tremendous year and finished with 11 wins and 4 losses which is the most wins in a season in the history of our program. We also had a wonderful group of players who supported each other on and off the field, and were fun to be around. This was a very special team.”
